Comparison: Louis Vuitton Azur Canvases
Have you ever noticed how Louis Vuitton's azur canvas looks different in different preloved listings? In this video I compare each of my azur pieces, made in different years, to see if there's really a difference.
Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 vs 30 vs 35
Though it's one of Louis Vuitton's most iconic bags, it can be difficult to decide which size Speedy is right for you. The video above provides more details but, for me, the 30cm is the perfect size for every day, the 25cm still holds a lot but is great for sizing down (it's also the perfect everyday size for many people), and the 35cm, though it can look huge in comparison photos, is a surprisingly reasonable sized bag if you need a little more room than the 30cm provides. Whatever you decide, I recommend purchasing the Speedy preloved because they're so readily available and you'll be able to find a well priced bag in the right size, canvas, and condition for you. I purchased my 25cm in azur from Rebag, my 30cm in ebene from Fashionphile, and my vintage 35cm monogram from a Japanese seller on eBay. Happy shopping!
Comparison: Louis Vuitton Neverfull vs Speedy
Many people debate whether to purchase the Neverfull or the Speedy, often as their first Louis Vuitton bag. In this video I compare the Neverfull MM with the Speedy 30, point out the pros and cons, talk about size and capacity, and hopefully help you figure out which bag would work best for you.
Louis Vuitton Neverfull Old vs New Model
The Neverfull is one of Louis Vuitton's most popular bags but did you know it has been redesigned? If you're buying at the Louis Vuitton store then the new model is the only one available to you but if you're shopping preloved then you have your choice between the two. My personal favorite is the old model but there are pros and cons to both. The old model has a floral motif (in addition to stripes) and a script font on the interior while the new model just has stripes (no florals) and a block font. The interior pocket of the old model is lined with a thin plastic coating, as are the pockets of many older Speedy bags. This is supposed to protect the pocket and make is slightly spill-proof but the coating tends to peel over time which is...not great. The good thing is that you can find many videos on YouTube about how to remove the lining fairly easily. The biggest advantage of the new model Neverfull is that it includes a removable pochette. The downsides of the pochette are that many people have trouble finding uses for it and that, on the preloved market, the pochette is often separated from the bag. The upside, though, is that if you want the old model Neverfull with a pochette you can have both by purchasing preloved. My favorite and most reliable places to do this are Fashionphile, The RealReal, and Rebag. Whichever version of the Neverfull is your favorite, it is a classic and highly functional tote that is sure to meet all your toting needs.
Comparison: Louis Vuitton Sarah Wallet vs Sarah Compact Wallet
Did you even know that Louis Vuitton made a compact version of their popular Sarah Wallet? It was only produced for a short period of time and is pretty difficult to find these days, even on preloved sites like Fashionphile, The RealReal, and Rebag. In this video I show you both wallets and compare the two.
The Ultimate Comparison of Louis Vuitton Straps
In this video I show and compare straps from the following Louis Vuitton bags:
